Willian provides update on his Chelsea future

Barcelona are reported to have offered Willian’s unsettled compatriot Malcom plus cash to land the 29-year-old, but Chelsea remain determined to keep hold of the former Shakhtar Donetsk winger and the player maintains he his happy in west London.

‘My future is here at Chelsea, I don’t know what you’re talking about. I didn’t see the papers.’ On his decisive goal and the win over Newcastle, he added:

‘I think it’s always difficult in the Premier League. We have to be more clinical. Today we couldn’t do that but we have the quality to do it in the next games.

‘But I think the character was good and the most important is to win the game. ‘I scored a good goal. I found the space and put the ball exactly where I wanted.
