If there’s one player who has taken more blame than any other for Chelsea’s defensive frailty this season it’s Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The goalkeeper has been too soft, too often, and it’s cost the Blues time after time.
They had been on top of this game for the first 23 minutes, but Naby Keita just rocketed a shot past their keeper to give Liverpool the lead.
Opinions on Twitter were divided on this one. Many maintained that the Spaniard should have done better – but that feels like a reflex action at this stage.
Most were in agreement with Jamie Carragher on commentary duty however, in saying that there was simply too much power on the strike, even if it did end up fairly central.
The second goal we conceded was even worse. In this case, Kepa didn’t even dive as Trent Alexander-Arnold’s free kick whipped past him.
Have any of you ever felt even remotely confident when a long shot is struck at Kepa?
Because for me, it's never.
