There has been some rumours in the media over the last few weeks which have suggested that Solskjaer may be given some funds in the coming transfer window to add a striker to his front-line, with Haaland reportedly high up on the shopping list.
Haaland scored the final goal of the game as Red Bull Salzburg beat Genk 4-1 in Belgium on Wednesday night n the Champions League and in the process became the first teenager in the history of the Champions League to score in five straight appearances in the competition.
His finish against Genk takes his season tally to 27 goals in just 19 games, during which he has also managed to notch up five hat-tricks, and United fans are desperate for United to make a move and sign him for that £75 million.
But there is also talk that Chelsea boss Frank Lampard may be able to delve into his transfer kitty and make a few signings for himself, with another striker on the shopping list for the club hero.
They may have the brilliant TAMMY ABRAHAM, who has netted 11 goals in 20 appearances this season, but Olivier Giroud is tipped to leave, while Michy Batshuayi just makes up the numbers, meaning that Lampard will be short up top.
Chelsea have been linked with some big time strikers, but if they want to keep adding to this very young, exciting side, then the signing of Haaland could be a great move. He has the ability to score, has the power to lead the Blues attack and is young enough to be a perfect long-term partner for Abraham.
Chelsea do not want to sign a forward that will replace Abraham, they want a striker to come in and be his partner, and that is why for just £75 million, Haaland would be a better move then a move for a striker that demands to be played every week.
