Wow! Chelsea board make transfer decision as £60 Million star to get sold

According to the latest reports, Chelsea are planning the shock sale of captain Reece James this summer.

Earlier this month, the west London club announced a pre-tax loss of £90.1million in the year to 30 June 2023 which has got many fans worried that they could end up breaching the financial fair play regulations of the Premier League

They now need to raise funds before the end of June this year to avoid the threat of a points penalty – and the easiest way to comply with PSR is to sell homegrown, academy players, with those deals counting as 100 per cent pure profit.

According to The Times, CHELSEA FC’s hierarchy are preparing to cash in on James and feel they can generate in excess of £60m for the right-back to allay their financial issues.

James is regarded as one of the best full-backs in the Premier League and has recently caught the attentions of the likes of PSG and Real Madrid – who reportedly made enquiries for a potential deal last summer.

Although James is one of the club’s most valuable players and was handed the armband last summer, there is a feeling that he is somewhat dispensable.
