- ‘You will never be welcome’: Fans send angry message to Chelsea star
Juventus fans have now sent a message to Romelu Lukaku as the Chelsea striker prepares to join the Italian giants.
The banner aimed at the Belgian was posted by Italian Football TV on Twitter.
So, what did Juventus supporters tell Romelu Lukaku? Let’s take a look…
Well – according to Calcio Mercato – Chelsea and Juventus have now agreed a fee for Dusan Vlahovic, who is set to move to Stamford Bridge for £30m with Lukaku going in the opposite direction.
However, it would appear that Juventus fans have no desire whatsoever to see the 30-year-old arrive in Turin.
The Old Lady’s ultras have now created a banner telling Lukaku to “stay in Milan” as Juventus “already have a second goalkeeper” – paying reference to his woeful display in the UEFA Champions League final, where he blocked goal bound shots from his own teammates.
Juventus fans also told the Belgium international that he “will never be welcome” at the Allianz Stadium.
It remains to be seen if Chelsea and Juventus push ahead with this deal – as supporters can often influence club decisions.
For example, Tottenham decided against hiring Gennaro Gattuso in 2021 following a campaign led by Spurs fans, so the fear of a potentially toxic environment is certainly strong enough to make clubs rethink things.
