Azpilicueta sends “Apology” message to Chelsea fans after 3-3 draw against Southampton.

Chelsea twice squandered a lead against Southampton on Saturday to draw 3-3 at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta has promised the Blues will be ready for our Champions League game against Sevilla on Tuesday following the 3-3 draw against Southampton on Saturday.

Azpilicueta tweeted: “Disappointed result this afternoon… Champions League starts on Tuesday and we have to be ready for the challenge!”

Following the disappointment today, the Blues have a busy schedule to contend with and face tough opposition on the way.

We host Europa League champions Sevilla on Tuesday night and must tighten our leaky defence to avoid starting the group stages with a home loss like last year against Valencia.

After that it’s a trip to Old Trafford on Saturday, the scene of Lampard’s first game in charge. He will be looking to avenge that 4-0 defeat.
