Chelsea interested in signing colombian superstar, player wants to leave bayern this summer

Chelsea have been provided with an unlikely opportunity to sign Colombia international James Rodriguez.

James was forced to depart Real Madrid in search of regular first-team football. Los Blancos’ front-line is packed full of quality, he had to leave in order to further his career.

The Bundesliga proved to be a healthy hunting ground for the 26-year-old, who racked up 16 direct goal contributions in just 1443 minutes of action in Germany’s top-flight.

Despite his good performances at the Allianz Arena, it does not appear as though James will be at Bayern come the start of next season.

According to Sky Sports, James will leave the club this summer following the appointment of Niko Kovac at Bayern.

He is still, in theory, a Real Madrid player, so it remains to be seen how exactly any potential deal would work.

Sky Sports claim that if he were to leave, both Chelsea and Arsenal would be waiting in the wings to secure his services. We can hope…
