Chelsea meets with Icardi’s agent, details are out

Welcome to the latest Chelsea transfer news.

Mauro Icardi to Chelsea has been the transfer story of the season for Chelsea so far.

Both of Chelsea’s current Strikers in Morata and Giroud haven’t been offering much in goal scoring department.

Chelsea have been linked to Icardi in the January Transfer Window to provide some tooth to their attack.

And now, our sources have confirmed that Chelsea have indeed held a meeting with Icardi’s agent over the possibility of the Chelsea transfer.

Chelsea transfer news: Mauro Icardi to Chelsea details revealed
Here are the details so far
Icardi is said to be earning around £120k per week at Inter making him the highest paid player at the Club.

However, Chelsea have offered the Argentine a contract worth £200k per week, along with goal and appearance bonuses.

This will make the Striker Chelsea’s second highest earner, just behind Eden Hazard.

Icardi is said to be “very interested” in the possibility of joining the Premier League giants, but only in the summer, unless, Inter Milan fails to qualify to the next round of Champions League.

Inter Milan, however, wants a sum in the region of £125m to part ways with their Captain in the January window.

It’s a well-known fact that Icardi’s release clause will come into effect in the summer (£110m).

Inter would obviously like to cash in more than the release clause if Icardi is indeed intent on leaving in a couple of months.

Who will make way?
A source close to Chelsea has informed us that it would be Alvaro Morata who would be shipped off to make way for Icardi if the above deal goes through in January.

Chelsea are said to be demanding £50m pounds for the flop Striker but could settle for £45m if push comes to shove, thereby accepting a loss on their second most expensive signing.
