‘Come to Chelsea’ Rudiger calls 31-goals German forward to make summer Stamford Bridge move

Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger is trying to convince RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner to join him at Stamford Bridge. This is According to German newspaper Bild.

Both players have remained close pals since playing together at Stuttgart.

Werner is believed to prefer a move to Premier League rivals Liverpool but Jurgen Klopp’s side are unwilling to pay his £49 million release clause.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is a big admirer of the striker and wants to make him a central figure in his attack.

Werner has starred for Leipzig this season, hitting 31 goals in 40 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga side.

The 24 year old striker has also scored 11 goals in 29 appearances for the German national team.
