Courtois & Hazard support Madrid to sign Kante

According to The Athletic, former Blues Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard both support the idea of bringing N’Golo Kante to Real Madrid.

The two players moved in the same direction in summer of 2018 and 2019, respectively, while their ex-teammate is reportedly on Zinedine Zidane’s wishlist for the next year’s transfer window.

As the journalists claim, both Belgians have remarked in private that Kante is the one player they need at Santiago Bernabeu.

Despite the fact that the La Liga giants have spent around £300m, the newcomers are yet to make an impact on the side’s performances. Even Hazard, their record-breaking signing, is yet to feature in an official game after being injured in the pre-season.

Kante would be considered as an upgrade on Casemiro who is currently irreplaceable for Zidane, but any pursuit will be difficult thanks to N’Golo’s contract which is set to expire only in 2023.

On Wednesday, Madrid-based outlet Defensa Central started a rumour that Chelsea have a gentleman agreement with Los Blancos regarding N’Golo Kante.

The media claims that if any club ever would make a bid for the Frenchman, Chelsea would notify Real Madrid so they would have a chance of joining the auction.

Bernabeu side are allegedly interested in the midfielder since the re-appointment of Zinedine Zidane, and Madrid already inquired about Kante in the summer.
