Deal close – How Chelsea will line up with €30million player

Chelsea have a new manager in the form of Sarri, they have a new defensive midfielder in the form of Jorginho and they are now expected to lure a new attacking midfielder in the form of Golovin from Russian side CSKA Moscow.

As confirmed by journalist Matteo Pedrosi, the World Cup star, who is valued at €30million (The Sun), has agreed terms of a contract with the Blues and will be moving to Stamford Bridge soon.

The question is, where will he start in Chelsea’s XI under the management of Sarri?

The formation:

Under former boss Antonio Conte, Chelsea mostly played a 3-4-3 formation. It proved to be fruitful in the 2016-17 campaign but did not work well last season.

New boss Sarri prefers the four at the back system and he mainly utilized the 4-3-3 formation as the head coach of Napoli. We can expect him to use the same setup at the Bridge in the next campaign.

Golovin’s playing position:

The 22-year-old star is a versatile talent, who can play anywhere in the midfield but mostly, he has played in the attacking midfield role.

In such a scenario, we can expect him to start with Jorginho and Kante in the center of the park for the Blues next season. Here is how Chelsea will line up with Golovin keeping in mind that Hazard, Courtois and Morata could depart.
