“Get me those 2 players”- Tuchel tells Marina Granovskaia his top 2 transfer targets

Chelsea new manager Thomas Tuchel has reportedly told Chelsea chief Marina Granovskaia his top two transfer targets.

According to Daily Express, Tuchel has identified Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland and Bayern Munich defender David Alaba as his top two transfer targets.

Tuchel intends to challenge for the Premier League title next season with Chelsea and believes signing a striker like Haaland and a defender like Alaba is what the Blues need.

Timo Werner has struggled for goals since joining Chelsea from RB Leipzig and the arrival of Haaland could deal a blow to Werner’s hopes of becoming Chelsea’s central striker.

However, Tuchel believes he can get the best out of Werner.

“At the moment his face is a bit closed, the weight is on his shoulders,” Tuchel said of Werner.

“He cares a lot, and that shows he has a fantastic character. Sometimes as a striker it does not help if you care a lot; sometimes it’s better not to care at all, but he’s not that guy.

“He cares, but he’s not happy with himself and with the way things have gone lately. Right now it’s important for him to rebuild his trust in himself, and re-find a smile on his face, and stop doubting himself too much.

“It’s my job to help him with this, and then also find a position where we can use his strengths.

“From his profile it is a given he prefers to have space.
