Granovskaia to work her magic and bring £54 million powerhouse to Chelsea for new boss Tuchel

Marina Granovskaia may look to work her magic and get Dayot Upamecano signed up for Thomas Tuchel.

Tuchel only arrived at the club a few days ago after replacing Frank Lampard, but there is a big feeling in the media that the former PSG coach would like to see a new defender signed this transfer window.

Kurt Zouma has been brilliant, but is not a reliable source at the back without Thiago Silva, and the Brazilian is coming towards the back end of his career, meaning that he is unable to play at the level he would like every week.

According to SportBild, the 22-year-old is on Tuchel’s wishlist in the next couple of windows having established himself as one of the most sought after young defenders in the game right now

TalkSPORT’s transfer expert Alex Crook recently claimed that there is definite interest from Chelsea: “We’ve talked about this guy a lot over the course of the last year or so, he’s a really highly-rated defender.

“He plays for RB Leipzig, he helped them do great things in the Champions League last season.

“Manchester United have watched him, Liverpool have watched him, Arsenal have been linked in the past.

“Now we’re hearing Chelsea are showing a definite interest, along with Bayern Munich. I don’t know if this is a deal that can necessarily happen this month because he’s got a release clause of of €42million that kicks into gear in the summer.

“But if those clubs I’ve mentioned are going to go toe-to-toe, this could be a really fascinating saga to watch and see exactly which club he picks. He’s a top player.”

Chelsea would be quite foolish to not show an interest in the brilliant Upamecano, he is a defender that will go on and become of the very best in the game

So if Tuchel does want the defender signed, Chelsea have the money to do his bidding
