‘I talked with Mourinho about joining Tottenham last summer’- Chelsea player admits
According to Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has admitted he came close to leaving Chelsea last summer.
Rudiger revealed he had a call with Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho last summer about a transfer to our London rivals.
The German defender rarely played under former boss Frank Lampard but has become a key player under Thomas Tuchel.
“There were two teams — but mainly one team I was considering,” said Rudiger.
“PSG and there was a call with Mourinho but this didn’t happen. I was a bit upset because I knew my situation was that I would not be playing that often.”
