Lampard confirms when Werner and Ziyech will arrive at Cobham

Frank Lampard have signed up two top players in Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner ahead of the new season to strengthen his squad.

Chelsea signed Ziyech in February from Dutch giants Ajax, while the signing of Werner was completed last month, as Chelsea beat Liverpool to the signing of the 24-year-old.

The duo are now officially Chelsea players, with their contract kicking off from July 1. However, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has revealed that they are yet to arrive Cobham, the club’s training ground.

Lampard revealed that quarantine rules had made their return a bit tricky, although he expects Ziyech to land in London soon and revealed that Werner is still enjoying his holiday.

“They haven’t arrived. Just like the whole country, we are waiting on quarantine news to make sure the players can travel and be able to move around and work as we’ll need them to.

‘With Timo Werner, he’s only finished recently so he’s having a well-deserved break at the minute and will come back later on in July. Ziyech will come here earlier than that but we’ll have to wait for the quarantine news before we can be clear on that.’
