Lampard sets new Champions League record as he becomes the second manager to make this UCL history

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has started writing his name in history of football.

However, The Blues topped our Champions League group after 4 victories and 2 draws, which made Lampard only the 2nd English manager in history to top his CL group (since 1992 when the European Cup was changed into the Champions League).

The only other English manager to have topped his Champions League group was Lampard’s uncle Harry Redknapp in 2010 with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Blues are 17 games unbeaten in all competitions otherwise and sit 3rd in the Premier League, 2 points behind joint-leaders Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.
