Report: Chelsea in pole position to sign South American No.10 playmaker

European giant Barcelona will reportedly accept a £77million offer for Philippe Coutinho in the summer.

However, Coutinho is currently on loan at Bayern Munich and ready to be sent back to Spanish giants after struggling to produce his best form in Bundesliga.

The Daily Express reports Barcelona are so desperate to offload former Liverpool playmaker and they have slashed his price tag ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

meanwhile, Barcelona spent £142m to lure Coutinho at Anfield from Liverpool in mid-way through the 2017/18 season, however, made move to Bayern Munich last summer for a loan spell.

And the Catalans are now prepared to take a massive financial hit and sell Brazilian forward as little as £77m. Liverpool were keen on re-signing Brazilian playmaker last summer, however, Jurgen Klopp explained the midfielder was too expensive for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

The lowering of Coutinho’s price will be huge boost for Manchester United and Chelsea as both are keen on to strengthen their midfield options next season and Brazilian playmaker who has previously played in the Premier League could be a perfect addition.

With Barcelona ready to listen to offers, a return to the English top-tier could appeal to Coutinho.

The 27-year-old produced his best form while being at Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp.
