REVEALED: Lampard was fighting with Chelsea board over 2 Chelsea players

Frank Lampard fell out with the Chelsea board over their decision to keep Antonio Rudiger over Fiyako Tomori.

Club legend Lampard was dismissed three weeks ago after a poor run of form saw Chelsea slipping out of contention for the top-four.

Prior to his sacking, according to The Athletic, Lampard was at odds with the Chelsea hierarchy over their treatment of Tomori.

The 23-year-old was eventually loaned to AC Milan, with the Italian club possessing an option to make the deal permanent in the summer.

Lampard would have preferred Chelsea to sell Antonio Rudiger, who had fell out of favour with the Englishman this season.

Rudiger has thrived under Lampard’s replacement Thomas Tuchel, starting all of the new head coach’s first five Premier League games so far.
