Roman Abramovich sends ‘strong warning’ to Tuchel after sacking Lampard

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich sacked Frank Lampard on Monday morning with director Marina Granovskaia and chairman Bruce Buck delivering the news to Lampard face-to-face at Stamford Bridge.

According to reliable transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Blues have already appointed former PSG boss Thomas Tuchel as Lampard’s replacement and an announcement is expected on Tuesday.

Tuchel is expected to be in charge of Wednesday’s Premier League game against Wolves at Stamford Bridge.

According to The Sun, Abramovich has challenged Tuchel to produce an immediate revival and catch up with Premier League leaders Manchester United.

Chelsea are ninth in the table, five points adrift of the top four and 11 behind leaders Manchester United.
