‘Secure this signing or lose your Chelsea job’ – Tuchel receives strong warning

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has picked up seven points from his first three games as Chelsea head coach and is yet to see his side concede a goal.

The German tactician has impressed since replacing Frank Lampard as Chelsea boss.

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder midfielder Jermaine Jenas has urged Tuchel to sign a world-class player in order to be a success at Chelsea and avoid being sacked.

“The start Thomas Tuchel has had has been great,” Jenas said on BT Sport.

“I think it’s so easy to sit here at times when new managers come in and be like: ‘It’s brilliant, it’s great to watch’.

“It’s enjoyable but that is what happens in management, you get a bounce, an effect when a new manager comes in.

“He’s got experience, Thomas Tuchel, and he’s done well most places he has been.

“But obviously at Chelsea, in the Premier League, the level that is expected, we’re going to see in terms of that consistency.

“If tonight’s anything to go by, then there’s a lot for Chelsea to be excited about.

“I personally still think, if they don’t bring in a world class striker, they will still be short of where he needs to be to keep his job for a long period of time.”
