“Terms AGREED”: Chelsea to confirm first January deal as player agrees personal terms

According to reports in Portugal claim Lucas Piazon’s move to Braga is expected to be made official very soon.

In addition, it’s stated that the 26-year-old has already agreed terms with the Portuguese side and all that remains is an announcement on a loan or permanent switch.

Piazon has now entered the final six months of his contract at Stamford Bridge, but with him having the option of an extra year means that Chelsea can cash-in on him and receive a transfer fee, opposed to losing him for free in the summer.

The forward is somewhat of a forgotten man at Stamford Bridge with his only Premier League outing come in the memorable 8-0 win over Aston Villa back in December 2012.

He has made 12 appearances for Rio Ave so far this season, but that loan spell looks set to end earlier than expected.

Once the deal is confirmed, it will be the Blues first deal of any kind in the January window and head coach Frank Lampard has warned it could be difficult to further trim his squad.

Kepa Arrizabalaga, Fikayo Tomori, Jorginho and Marcos Alonso have been linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge, but it remains to be seen if the club can find the right buyers.
