‘Up for sale’ as Tuchel has chance to sign up real statement signing for Chelsea after Barca make big £300,000-a-week decision

Philippe Coutinho has been in the transfer headlines alot lately, but the latest news will definitely put Chelsea on full alert.

Coutinho was one of the most gifted players in the Premier League with Liverpool and the Reds helped mould the Brazilian into one of the very best players in world football.

That ultimately led to him making that big money move to sign with Barcelona, a move that was supposed to make him an absolute superstar in the game. But for many reasons, he has failed to make the impact that many people had expected.

WHAT IS THE LATEST?

Mundo Deportivo says the Catalans want to avoid paying more money on his transfer and want to find a new home for him next season. They would ideally want to sell him, but they are also open to sending him out on loan.

Chelsea are not the only club linked with a move for Coutinho, as the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham and even Arsenal have all been mooted as possible destinations for the Brazilian should he decide to make the move back to the Premier League in the summer.

Thomas Tuchel does have a very good midfield, but when there is a chance to sign up one of the most creative players in the game, that is a chance that the club simply cannot miss out on.

He could be a real statement signing for Chelsea, should he get a transfer deal done.

However, do Chelsea really need to splash the cash to secure a transfer deal for the midfielder?
