(VIDEO): Werner gave sincere apologies to Kai Havertz

Not many times do you see a striker apologise for taking a shot that tested the goalkeeper, but such is the attitude of new Chelsea striker, Timo Werner.

The 24-year-old did his best to get on the scoresheet in his debut Premier League game against Brighton, but it was to no avail.

In the game against Brighton, Werner had one moment where he tested Mat Ryan. Fellow new signing Kai Havertz had asked for a cutback, but Werner had a go which was saved by Ryan, and immediately apologised to his teammate.

Werner said briefly ‘sorry Kai’, as he looked disappointed for not scoring.

Chelsea fans reacted to the video by calling Werner a humble striker.
