Jorginho agent has insisted that he has had no contact with Bianconeri amid rumours linking the midfielder with a switch to Old Lady. Italy international has been linked with a move to the reigning Serie A champions with a potential swap deal on the cards involving Miralem Pjanic.

While Jorginho came under many scrutinies for his limited influence last campaign, he has certainly improved this year and has been a pivotal part of Frank Lampard’s plans, playing 37 games across all tournaments while scoring seven goals and providing two assists.

However, speculation over his future at the London giants seemingly refuses to go away, and now his agent has had to comment on the situation publicly. On the one hand, the 28-year-old midfielder has reemphasised his importance to the London club this campaign and the English manager may be keen to keep him.

While the Italian midfielder did reiterate that Jorginho has a three-year deal with Blues still and that he’s doing well in the London club, eyebrows could perhaps be raised over some of his other comments hinting at a possible desire to play for the Serie A giants.

Maurizio Sarri is keen on a reunion with him, having worked with him at both Napoli and Blues recently, and so he is fully aware of his qualities and what he can offer.

However, it would take at least €40m to prise him away from the London giants, while it’s reiterated that a swap deal could be an option for the two clubs to reach a mutually beneficial agreement. Time will tell what the future holds for the Italian midfielder.
