£180 million worth of talent on shopping list as Tuchel looking to complete Chelsea deal for centre-half
Reports have claimed that Chelsea are lining up a trio of defenders to try and improve that back-line in the summer.
It is no secret that Thomas Tuchel has done a very good job since his move to the club just a few months back, and has not got this Chelsea side playing the kind of football that many expected at the start of the season.
However, it is also no secret that there are key areas of the pitch that Tuchel would like to improve on when that window opens up, and A busy summer is expected in west London, with the club also eager to bring in a new centre forward, defensive reinforcements will also be sought, according to The Athletic.
Roman Abramovic gave Frank Lampard a ton of money in last summers transfer window to improve the attack and defence, but now the report claims Bayern Munich’s Niklas Sule and RB Leipzig’s Ibrihima Konate are two options being considered along with Uruguay international Jose Gimenez, a regular at the back for Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid.
All three players are rated very highly in the game and have been linked, and watched, by the Blues for some time now, if you believe the reports, so if Tuchel is the man to take the club forward, he wants to add a premium centre-back to the squad.
Who the German will get will be a very interesting one to see, but it should be another exciting transfer window for the Blues as a number of players could make their way to Stamford Bridge.
