2:15pm: Blues reacted after Sevilla release new ‘price tag’ for Jules Kounde move to Chelsea

Chelsea have now reacted after Sevilla gave the Blues an ultimatum to submit a €70million bid for Jules Kounde by Monday.

According to The Athletic, Chelsea are now willing to shun a move for Kounde after the Spanish side failed to keep an agreement both clubs previously had.

The report claims Chelsea had a verbal agreement with Sevilla to sign Kounde but the Spanish side suddenly raised their asking price by €15m (£13m).

The Blues are unhappy with Sevilla’s decision to increase their asking price for Kounde and won’t give in to Sevilla’s demands. Chelsea are willing to wait until the January transfer window to address the transfer again.

However, a deal could still happen this summer if Sevilla consent to selling Kounde for the previously agreed fee, believed to be around €50–€55m.
