£50m star finally speaks out – after Silva tells him to complete Chelsea move
Presnel Kimpembe, a PSG star, has dropped a hint regarding his future amid reports that Chelsea are interested in him.
Kimpembe, a French international, is one of a handful of big-name centre-backs connected with the Blues, as Thomas Tuchel attempts to address the defensive concerns he’ll have next season.
Following the exits of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, reinforcements in that position are expected — and according to France Football journalist Olivier Bossard, Silva has been in communication with an old Paris Saint-Germain teammate.
Kimpembe, 26, is a veteran defender who wants to join Thomas Tuchel’s project at Stamford Bridge and form a formidable partnership with the Premier League giants that will help the club compete for the title.
And he appears to have hinted at his future with PSG, indicating that he may be willing to leave during the transfer window: The PSG defender was cited as saying, “I mentioned I was approaching 27 years of age and that my next contract would be critical.”
“I want to be able to know what the project of the club will look like. I didn’t say anything wrong.
“I joined the club when I was nine or 10 years old. I think it’s a legitimate question to ask my club about the future project and what role I am going to be given.
“At the moment, I am focused on the France team and on tomorrow’s match.”
