£60M star ‘stepping up HIS BID’ to complete five-year Chelsea move
The transfer window is on and the Blues will be looking forward to make some stunning signings.
However, according to SunSport’s Andrew Dillon, Sevilla star Jules Kounde is stepping up his bid to join Chelsea.
It is widely expected that Ted Boehly will hand Thomas Tuchel some funds in order to sign a few players that the club seriously need – and now it means that Chelsea fans can start planning for some big arrivals in the summer – starting with Kounde
Thomas Tuchel is in desperate need of defensive reinforcements after it became apparent that both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen are leaving the club for Barcelona respectively.
The 23-year-old Kounde has been a long-term target of the London club, and will be a statement of intent from new owner Boehly, who has indicted that significant funds will be available.
A deal for the French defender – equally comfortable at right-back or centre-half – is expected to cost the Blues in the region of £60million, and will now be on step closer now that the takeover has been confirmed
And according to Dillon – the defender is stepping up his bid to complete that move to Stamford Bridge – he told the Sun: “New owner Todd Boehly has finally been given the green light to buy the Blues for £4.25billion from Roman Abramovich.
“Kounde is convinced he will be first choice next season following upheaval in the West Londoners’ defence.”
