7 Chelsea players are open to leave Tuchel this summer, as club urged to sign 50-goal striker
According to The Telegraph, at least seven Chelsea players are willing to leave the club this summer if offers come in.
With the new takeover now confirmed by the UK Government, Thomas Tuchel and the new club owners are looking forward to a hectic summer of squad rebuilding.
There will be a lot of work to be done, and it might get much harder if Chelsea allows some of the players who want to leave to leave through the Stamford Bridge exit doors.
Cesar Azpilicueta, Romelu Lukaku, Jorginho, and N’Golo Kante, according to the source, all have their futures in doubt. However, if Chelsea receives offers, players like Marcos Alonso, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, Ross Barkley, and Kenedy will be available for transfer.
This summer could see a lot of departures, which means a lot more arrivals to replace them.
club urged to sign Bayern Munich striker
Robert Lewandowski should be signed by the Blues, according to Glen Johnson.
Glen Johnson, a former Chelsea defender, has urged the club to sign Robert Lewandowski. Although his contract with Bayern Munich expires next summer, the Polish striker wants to depart the Allianz Arena this season. Blues want to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
Johnson also told Betting Odds that the future of Romelu Lukaku could affect his former club’s pursuit of Lewandowski.
Johnson said: “In terms of the player himself, then yes (they should go for him). But business-wise, what that might do to (Romelu) Lukaku, if he’s not playing where’s he going to go, how much is he going to be worth. They bought him for an awful lot of money,”
He continued: “But at the same time, if they give him another six months, and he doesn’t perform, then they might miss out on the top four. It’s a tough one. While Lewandowski is available on the free, I think you have to try and sign him.”
Lewandowski is coming off a 50-goal 2021-22 campaign, having scored nearly 350 goals in eight seasons for Bayern.
