7 Real Madrid players set to miss Champions League clash against Chelsea after latest updates

Based on reports we gathered earlier in the week, we found that three Real Madrid players will miss the first leg of the semi-final Champions League clash against Chelsea.

Real Madrid host Chelsea on Tuesday, April 27, and will be without left-back Ferland Mendy, right-back Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez.

Federico Valverde is now another confirmed absentee, as it was confirmed on Sunday that he had tested positive for coronavirus, meaning a self-isolation period of ten days which will surpass the first leg against Chelsea.

Sergio Ramos is also out injured, and Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is sweating over the health of Toni Kroos and Luca Modric as well.

Neither Kroos nor Modric have been able to train with the group, with Zidane confirming their injuries. Kroos and Modric have missed the past two La Liga matches, with abductor and back-issues respectively.

For Chelsea, Thiago Silva and Mateo Kovacic remain the only injury concern, and they may be available to face the Spanish giants.
