Chelsea keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is optimistic he still has the full backing of manager Frank Lampard after the Spaniard was linked with a transfer away from Chelsea.
Reports have stated that Lampard wants to sell the 25-year-old in the next transfer market following his inconsistent performances for the Blues this season.
Kepa was signed as Thibaut Courtois’ successor in August 2018 but he has struggled to live up to the £71.6 million transfer sum Chelsea paid to Athletic Bilbao.
Before the coronavirus pandemic halted the campaign, Kepa had been left on the bench in five of the club’s last seven matches, with Frank opting to play Willy Caballero instead.
‘The relationship with Frank is very good. He has shown me confidence from the first moment,’ Arrizabalaga said in an interview with Marca.
‘He must make decisions, but I feel I have his confidence, both his and that of the whole club. We all like to play in every game.’
