£80 million man wants Chelsea move after being told to complete five-year deal
William Gallas has urged Declan Rice to leave West Ham and become a top-player at Chelsea, but should he make the move back to the Bridge?
Since moving into that midfield just a few seasons ago, Rice has gone on to become one of the most talked about players in the premier League and is constantly being linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, where Frank Lampard is a massive fan of the player.
Not only does the Englishman cover every blade of grass and recover possession, his fabulous technique and incredible range of passing is beginning to flourish in a West Ham team which has defied expectation this season.
But with rumours that the Hammers will do all they can to try and keep hold of the clubs star player, Gallas has told Rice to take matters into his own hands and make the move to Chelsea in the summer to take his career to the next step.
He told PlayOJO: “He’s a good player, for his age, he’s unbelievable.
“Very strong and technically, he’s almost got everything. For me, he has to leave West Ham to get to the next level because he could be a top-class player.
“To be a top-class player, he has to train everyday alongside top-class players which is why for me he has to leave West Ham next season. “He looks like he has a strong personality, I think he would be a good signing for Chelsea.”
Look, there is no question about the quality of Rice and there is no doubt that he will become a top-class player, but there is a question as to the price that has been placed on his head as he is not worth that massive £80 million that the Hammers want.
But he is certainly a player that would add some quality to this Chelsea midfield, if they ever sign the man
