8:15pm: Blues to offload 4 players as Chelsea set to secure £102m deals before deadline
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are looking to offload some players before making decisions on potential deals for Jules Kounde or Saul Niguez.
The Blues are reportedly interested in signing Sevilla’s Kounde or Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul after signing Romelu Lukaku for a club record fee.
However, Saul Niguez transfer value is £34 million, while Jules Kounde transfer value is £68m as the Blues are looking forward to secure two more signings before deadline day.
Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia is looking to offload Davide Zappacosta, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Malang Sarr and Ike Ugbo in the coming days.
Zappacosta is set to join Fiorentina on loan with an option to buy next summer and Bakayoko is one step away from joining AC Milan on loan.
Bologna want Malang Sarr on loan and a decision regarding Ike Ugbo will be made soon.
