8:30pm: Saul Niguez debut match confirm, as Blues determined to agree deal for former Manchester City forward

According to reports, Saul Niguez has not taken long to get comfortable at Chelsea.

However, the Spanish player joined on loan on transfer deadline day, and The Blues have the option to make his move permanent if they wish.

And given he has impressed Thomas Tuchel already, he could be in for a successful spell at Stamford Bridge.

According to football london, Saul has settled at Chelsea already, dishing out instructions to some of his high-profile team-mates during a training session conducted by Tuchel.

Saul brings a wealth of experience to the club having won La Liga, the Europa League twice and finished as runner-up in the Champions League in 2016.

And with many senior Chelsea players currently away on international duty, it seems the midfielder has already taken on some leadership responsibilities.

That could be key to him breaking into the Chelsea line-up ahead of N’Golo Kante or Jorginho, who was one of the best players at Euro 2020.

That pair were also valuable to winning Chelsea the Champions League last term.

However, report claims Saul could start this weekend against Aston Villa, and having enjoyed a rest period over the international break – unlike Jorginho – he could be handed his Blues debut by Tuchel.

Blues determined to agree deal for former Manchester City forward

Chelsea may reportedly pursue a deal for Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich forward Leroy Sane during one of the upcoming transfer windows.

The 25-year-old midfielder has endured a mixed opening 14 months at the Allianz Arena, with 19 of his 49 games coming from the substitutes’ bench.

His lack of regular first-team minutes has led to rumours that the Germany international is playing for his future at the Bundesliga giants.

A report in The Express claims that the Blues could be open to putting together a proposal which includes offering one of their players in part-exchange.

Callum Hudson-Odoi, Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech, have all been put forward as potential options for Bayern Munich, particularly the latter two who have either been rumoured with or previously represented rivals Borussia Dortmund.

Sane still has just under four years left on his current deal.
