8:30pm: Timo Werner makes Chelsea transfer decision, as £50million player agrees five year contract to join Chelsea

Timo Werner has no plans of leaving Chelsea during the ongoing transfer window, Sport1’s Florian Plettenberg claims.

The German joined the west London giants from RB Leipzig last summer, and experienced a disappointing debut season.

He registered 12 goals and 15 assists from 51 games, but he was culpable of missing several clear-cut scoring chances.

With the Blues searching for another elite striker, it was recently claimed that Werner could push for a new challenge elsewhere.

However, according to Plettenberg, that appears unlikely to happen. Werner ‘definitely’ wants to continue with the Blues.

Bayern Munich were recently linked with his services, but it appears that the German giants have not made any kind of approach.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Blues have agreed personal terms with Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.

Chelsea have agreed a contract with the Frenchman that runs until 2026 and are in advanced talks with Sevilla regarding a transfer fee.

Kurt Zouma could be involved in a player-plus-cash deal, with a transfer reportedly on the cards within “hours or days.”

Romano wrote: “Jules Koundé deal : Chelsea are in advanced talks with Sevilla and Kurt Zouma could be included in the negotiation. Possible swap deal to go through in the next hours/days with Zouma + money for Koundé to Chelsea.

“Personal terms agreed for Koundé until 2026.”
