Chelsea have finally identified a replacement for Chelsea’s goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, According to The Sun.
The Blues keeper Arrizabalaga has been in poor form lately with Chelsea fans questioning the club’s decision to pay £71.6million, a record for a goalkeeper, to sign him from Atletic Bilbao.
However, Chelsea scouts have identified 27 year old Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope as a possible replacement for Arrizabalaga.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard admitted after the 2-2 draw against Arsenal on Tuesday night that certain aspects of Kepa’s game could be improved on.
Lampard said: “I know there’s a focus on him at the minute. That’s top line football.
“Yes, with his feet, a couple of times today he took too long and he nearly gave it away.
That can sometimes change the momentum of a game that he will know, has to look at and we will have to look at.”
