AC Milan have revived their interest in Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen ahead of the summer transfer market. The 23-year-old star was linked with a move away from the Blues in the winter window when AC Milan wanted to land the Denmark international.
But Chelsea chief Frank Lampard was not open to selling the player in the winter and Christensen remained a key part of the first-team squad.
The Serie A side are in the market for a centre-half in the summer transfer window and they are again set to look at Chelsea for a solution.
However, according to Italian daily Tuttosport, Rossoneri will again make an attempt to snare Andreas away from Chelsea during the next transfer market.
Christensen is a player Rossoneri admire and the management want to take him to the club as part of their plans ahead of next season. The Danish started seven of his side’s last eight Premier League games before the campaign was suspended earlier this month.
Unless Chelsea bring in another centre-back, Frank Lampard could be unlikely to entertain thoughts of selling his player in the summer.
Andreas, who was on a two-year loan deal at Gladbach during 2015-17, still has more than two years left on his existing contract with Chelsea.
