A number of Chelsea players returned to their country to be with their families as countries around the globe embarked on lockdown to combat the Covid-19 pandemic that has led to the suspension of football all over the world.
With the Premier League trying to resume the season and make sure that the 2019-20 season is completed by July, Chelsea players have started returning back to the UK.
Sky Sports have confirmed that seven players for Chelsea have returned back to the country with clubs aiming to start training in a couple of weeks.
The players include Willian (who confirmed this on his Instagram story), Christian Pulisic (who was back home in the US and posting TikTok videos from his basement a lot), Andreas Christensen (back in Denmark), Emerson (who was presumably in Italy), and Spanish trio Kepa Arrizabalaga, Marcos Alonso, and Pedro.
Games are expected to be played behind closed doors and there are talks that the remaining 92 games be played in a neutral venue.
The Premier League is expected to have a meeting with the clubs on Friday to decide on the best course of action.
