BeIN Sports presenter Richard Keys has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have won the race to sign Chelsea winger Willian on a free transfer. Willian’s current deal expires at the end of the season and the Blues have declined to meet his demands for a three-year contract extension.
As a result, he is expected to be on the move and Keys has claimed that Willian will be reunited with Jose Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspur during the off-season.
Mourinho was responsible for signing Willian back in the summer of 2013 and the attacker has recently revealed that he continues to have a good relationship with the Portuguese.
Aside from Spurs, north London rivals Arsenal have also been linked with the Brazilian’s services in recent weeks. It appears that they may have lost the race to sign the experienced winger.
Willian has been a consistent performer for the Blues over the past six-and-a-half years. In the current campaign, he has registered seven goals and six assists across all competitions.
