REPORT: Chelsea take steps to sign one of the first names on Marina Granovskaia’s list

A lot of the talk regarding potential Chelsea transfers this summer are centred around possible new left backs.

This looks to be an area that manager Frank Lampard will be looking to improve when the transfer window reopens, and he may well have to look at replacing one or both of Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri.

With all the names being mentioned as targets, there seems to be some momentum gathering over The Blues’ interest in Atalanta left back Robin Gosens.

In fact, TuttoMercatoWeb are reporting that Chelsea have started to take steps to sign the 25-year old and that he is the first name on the list of club Director Marina Granovskaia’s list.

Obviously Lampard would need to agree to the signing as well, but with the current economical situation and the fact we already know that Granovskaia loves a good bargain, Gosens’ reported 20 million euro price tag could be what drives this interest if it is true.
