Antonio Conte has proven to be a top manager over the years after excelling as Juventus boss, where he won three Serie A titles with Juventus.
The Italian impressed with the Italian national team before taking charge of Chelsea where he won the Premier League in his first season and the FA Cup in his second season, before being axed by Roman Abramovich.
Conte didn’t meet Frank Lampard in the Chelsea team as the Blues legend had left two years before his appointment in 2016. However, the Inter Milan boss has given glowing assessment of the current Chelsea manager and believes that he’d do a good job for the Blues.
Asked to assess Lampard’s debut season as Chelsea manager, Conte told Sky Sports: “I think he’s doing a really good job.
“This is Frank’s second experience after Derby. To manage and be the coach of a top team is not easy.
“But I think he has the skills and the ability to become one of the best managers in the world. “He has to continue to work in this way and I wish him the best for the future.”
