Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek sent a strong message to Chelsea boss Frank Lampard after scoring on his return from injury in a Chelsea friendly on Saturday at Stamford Bridge.

However, The Blues played an intra-squad friendly behind closed doors at Stamford Bridge ahead of Chelsea’s first Premier League match back against Aston Villa on June 21.

The squad was split into two sides, one wearing the home shirt and the other side in our white away kit.

Loftus-Cheek played in Chelsea’s home kit alongside Pedro, Tammy Abraham and Willian while Christian Pulisic, Billy Gilmour and Mateo Kovacic played in the white away kit.

Loftus-Cheek will hope he impressed Lampard enough to give him game time against Aston Villa.
