According to several reports Chelsea are considering the pursuit of Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir as a likely replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Trabzonspor legend Lemi Celik, has gone on to admit that the Blues are prepared to offer €30m for the Turkey international.
“Chelsea want Ugurcan Cakir, they are prepared to pay €30m for him,” Celik said.
“Chelsea are the only side who are prepared to pay what Trabzonspor want for him and that makes them favorites.”
Celik also believes that Cakir would be a good fit for Chelsea and that he is more than good enough to play in the Premier League.
“Ugurcan is more than capable of playing at Chelsea and he would be able to play in England as he is a goalkeeper for the Turkish national team and would meet the criteria set by the Premier League for foreign players who want to play there,” he added.
Former Chelsea coach Eddie Newton, now assistant manager at Trabzonspor, has been reportedly passing information about Cakir to Chelsea.
