Chelsea are one of the teams who seem to be heavily involved in the transfer news making the rounds.
Considering their lack of transfer activity in the previous two transfer windows, plus the fact that they have many assets which they can offload and make profit from, it’s safe to say the Blues are one of the few teams with enough financial muscle to make big moves in the transfer market.
After having already completed the signing of Hakim Ziyech and agreeing a deal with Timo Werner, the Blues look to add to their wing ranks, with Pedro and Willian set to depart at the end of the season. Jadon Sancho and Kai Havertz have been strongly linked, but both will cost the blues lost of money. Well, they may have found a cheaper alternative.
According to the Sun, Chelsea are looking at bringing the ‘Algerian Messi’ Said Benrahma to Stamford Bridge, and have now reportedly opened talks.
The Blues have previously been linked with the Brentford winger, and now the reports are coming back, with the Sun claiming that Chelsea have opened talks for the 24-year old.
Brentford are said to value the tricky winger at around £35.5million, although Chelsea are hopeful of reaching a cut-price deal due to the financial problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Benrahma has been in sensational form for Brentford in the Championship, making 34 appearances in the scoring ten goals, while providing a number of assists and eye catching performances.
