Chelsea in-form star Christian Pulisic insists he is not trying to be next Eden Hazard at Stamford Bridge, with the USA skipper determined to become a star in his own right.
Pulisic, 21, who got off to a slow start at Stamford Bridge, before suffering an nasty muscle tear injury early in 2020, has become Chelsea’s one of the best attacker since resumption of the campaign.
However, according to several journalist including Chelsea boss Frank Lampard Christian Pulisic has been play football with a more direct style his predecessor on the flank Eden Hazard. Even of the Blues journalist Frank Khalid claims Pulisic vision to see a difficult pass, he score, dribble, like Hazard, but his ability to pick a perfect pass.
Pulisic, who scored netted three goals and won two penalty with was converted by Willian for Chelsea, explained why he is not getting carried away by comparisons to Eden Hazard in terms of his style of play.
He said: ‘I feel really confident in my game right now,’. ‘I’m happy I can be on the field and helping my team. I hope I can continue and keep my confidence high.
‘Obviously he [Hazard] was an incredible player for Chelsea. He’s a world-class player so I’m not trying to compare myself to him, I’m just trying to be my own player and hopefully the fans like that guy.’
