Chelsea are reportedly prepared to battle Man City for the services of Ajax full-back, Nicolas Tagliafico during the summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old Argentina international defender has recently suggested that he would be on the move ahead of the 2020-21 season, and a number of teams are believed to be interested in his signature.
Arsenal, Barcelona and PSG have previously been heavily linked with the Argentina international defender, while a recent report suggested that the Citizens were also in the hunt for his services.
However, according to The Sun, the West London club are also interested in the South American as they weigh up alternatives to Leicester City’s defender Ben Chilwell, who could be priced out of a summer move.
Tagliafico, who has managed to found back of the net five times and provided seven assists in 38 games for Ajax during the 2019-20 season, could allegedly be available for around £22m in the summer transfer window.
Frank Lampard’s side are believed to be seeking a new left-back as Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alsonso continue to be rumoured with a departure from the Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have already secure services of Timo Werner and Hakim Zyech ahead of the 2019/20 season.
