Chelsea is trying to make top four spot when they face Wolves in their final game of the Premier league season, all Chelsea need is a draw to make them qualify for next season’s champions league.
That is not really a concern for Frank Lampard. Lampard who wasn’t able to sign any player last summer because of the transfer ban on the club, but Chelsea has been the most busy club in England during the transfer window this summer as they have secured a permanent deal for Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner and ready to complete Kai Havertz’s deal.
Main problem Chelsea need to tackle against next season is their goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga.
But the latest news is that, Frank Lampard is “fuming” at Kepa Arrizabalaga and wants him sold as soon as the Chelsea season finishes next month. A Chelsea source said that Lampard’s anger was mainly a consequence of his team’s defending and especially their goalkeeper.
The Blues manager was tetchy with the media following the 5-3 Premier League defeat at Liverpool on Wednesday night that left his side’s top-four hopes in the balance going into Sunday’s final round of matches.
That will certainly not been easy as Chelsea face a major battle recouping a significant portion of the £71million fee paid to Athletic Bilbao in 2018.
Lampard is keen to recruit a top calibre keeper who can reach the same level as former number ones Petr Cech and Thibaut Courtois like Jan Oblak, Dean Henderson or Marc Ter- Stergen.
