Deal On: Premier League club ready to hijack and pay £80m for Chelsea transfer target

Chelsea have already secure double signings of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech and the duo are already in Chelsea and ready for action ahead of next season, but the Blues are not stopping there.

However, Frank Lampard has identified Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell as the ideal option to improve Chelsea’s left-back position ahead of next season.

Lampard is desperate to bring the 23 year old England international to Stamford Bridge after losing faith in Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri.

Despite Lampard’s desire to sign Chilwell, the Blues are unwilling to meet Leicester’s £80 million valuation of the England international.

Chelsea are believed to be the front-runners for the Englishman’s signature this summer but now face competition from Manchester United.

According to Daily Mirror, Manchester United are preparing to enter the race for Chilwell and are willing to match Leicester’s £80 million valuation of the left-back.

The Blues do have other options to look at if we miss out on Chilwell, with Ajax man Nicolas Tagliafico, Atalanta’s Robin Gosens and Sevilla’s Sergio Reguilon in Chelsea’s shortlist.
