According to ESPN reporter, Alex Shaw has confirmed in a tweet that Chelsea are also close to tying deals for Thiago Silva, Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell.
He wrote in a tweet: “Chelsea mean business. Thiago Silva to sign 2-year deal this week. Chilwell almost done, Havertz progressing. Werner, Ziyech done. Lampard being backed by the board.”
The left-back, centre-back and attacking midfield positions are three areas that Lampard has been keen on strengthening. After these deals are completed, all that could be left in the manager’s wishlist will be to sign a top goalkeeper.
