The summer of 2020 is one that Chelsea’s supporters are not likely to ever forget.
After being starved of new signings last summer, Chelsea’s supporters have had difficulty keeping up with all their new arrivals so far this time around.
With more than a month of the summer transfer window still to go, Chelsea are quickly assembling one of the most fierce looking squads that the Premier League has to shout about.
However, The arrivals of Chilwell and Silva will significantly strengthen Lampard’s team ahead of the start of the new season, meaning there are not many more pieces to add to his fast-growing jigsaw.
Meanwhile, The man in question is West Ham United star Declan Rice, who has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea for some time.
And should the Blues make the decision to continue their summer spending spree and make a move for the England international, who started his career at Chelsea, it would certainly get the seal of approval from Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.
The City boss has previously lavished the Hammers star with praise, insisting that he will be a “top player” for many years to come.
Following a meeting between City and West Ham back in November 2018, Guardiola said: “Declan Rice is an excellent young player and he will be a top English player for many years to come.”
